About this course
Angle grinders and cutting equipment can cause serious injuries through wheel breakage, kickback and contact with moving parts. Dust, noise and sparks can also create risks to health and safety. This course introduces wheel identification, compatibility and pre-use checks, alongside guarding, workpiece support and protective equipment. It explains common unsafe practices and when to stop and report a concern. This is general awareness training. It does not authorise wheel changes or replace the practical training required for specialist tasks.
